INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Coat the spline of the inboard joint shaft assembly with gear oil.

(b) Align the shaft splines and install the drive shaft with a brass bar and hammer.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the differential oil seal, inboard joint boot and drive shaft dust cover.

HINT:

  • Set the inboard joint shaft snap ring with the opening side facing downward.
  • Whether the inboard joint shaft is in contact with the pinion shaft or not can be confirmed from the sound or feeling when driving it.

2. INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the steering knuckle assembly AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: STEERING KNUCKLE: INSTALLATION (2008 Sequoia) .

3. ADD FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: DIFFERENTIAL OIL: REPLACEMENT (2008 Sequoia)+

4. INSPECT FOR FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL LEAK
